Pictures from Day 4

I managed to build my model car yesterday, like I was supposed to, but I didn't finish the last coat of gloss until today.  I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that it counts.  I'm still finishing today's activity/project so I'll write about that in the morning.

For now though, here are some pictures of the car-making process.

See.  I was quite proud that I remembered the first step in any building project.  The first thing you need to do is make sure you have all your tools and parts at your disposal.

These are all my parts and tools.

The next step is to read and make sure you understand all the instructions.

 

As you can see, they've simplified the process.

The first steps were pretty straightforward.  Sand this, glue here.  It was pretty much exactly what you would expect from a model car kit.

Yeah.  Whatever.  When do I get to paint?

Then it was time to paint.  I find painting to be an enjoyable activity.

OMG I LOVE PAINTING SO MUCH OMG OMG.

The main bulk of the time spent on the car, quite frankly, was in waiting for things to dry.  The glue had to dry, the paint had to dry, the glue from the part I accidentally knocked off had to dry again.  But I must say, for a first attempt, I'm quite pleased with the result.
